Hey y'all,
I just found out last night that a decorator that refers Tim googled his name to get his phone number
and found my blog. She did not know about his MM before this. I have no idea how many times
this has happened, possibly costing him work, and don't know HOW it happened, since I don't use
our last name on my blog. I have not wanted to take the blog private because I don't want to lose
touch with anyone who reads/comments etc. I may have no choice. Anyone know how this could happen? And, if you come to check in and I've gone private, PLEASE apply to be a follower. I am
not a computer whiz and don't know how to set this up.

It's pretty easy these days... my blog pops up for anyone interested in retirement, MM, travel, South America, etc. But I don't use my real name on it for just the reason you've discovered, that if the real name of the people appears in the blog, even if not tagged, it will get a hit on a search.
But I just learned by googling my SIL's site that it pops up, even though they have asked for people to not forward it, so when I go back there in a couple of weeks, I am going to let him know. They post a lot of photos of family and I don't much like the idea of some creep finding out who and where they are.
But, and I hope this is true, I cannot imagine with Tim's reputation that he would have lost any work because of people learning he has the Big C... so many people are afflicted these days, no one would get anything done! And furthermore, I think people who know Tim would have asked him if they'd heard anything... so I'm betting this a more like a fluke, but still you want to keep it within the MM and friends so that your privacy is not compromised.
If you want, I'l bet that some of your followers will advise on their blogs about this and will help you stay in contact with people. Let me know how I can help.
Denise: So sorry this has happened. Let's hope no one has decided not to use Tim because of the MM. That's heartless!
Otherwise, hope you and yours are doing well.
Hugs...
