Well it is the dreaded flu that we have after all. So much for the darn flu shot. I took Olivia
back to the doctor's when her temp got so high and they re-checked her for strep and did the
nasal swab for the flu. The flu test takes 15 minutes. They knew it was positive after 2. As far
as that myth that the shot will make it a milder case, Olivia's temp was just as high as it was
5 years ago when she and I got the flu and Tim is upstairs in bed running over 103. He aches
all over, as do I and we are all just miserable. I was the only one not to get the shot(had a reaction 4 years ago) and my temp was the lowest. Man this stinks and I can't wait till this
is overwith. I swear, I feel like not leaving the house anymore from December to March 1st.

Yuk. Hang in there. Being sick was a lot more fun wbefore you were a mom and didn't have to hold the whole damn operation together, wasn't it?
What a drag! Hope my little present lifts your spirits. I sent it Thursday; should arrive any day.
