Off to new england

Tomorrow, we leave for a 10 day trip to New Hampshire and Vermont. I am excited. I haven't
visited NH since I was a kid and I can't wait. We'll be staying by Concord for a few days and
seeing the sights there and then we're spending a few nights further north in Littleton at an
inn that opened in 1850 as a railroad boarding lodge. It has a huge cupola on top overlooking
the town and surrounding area. I've found some cool things to do; a little something for everyone. The weather looks like it's gonna be great. I just love exploring new areas like this.
My parents instilled this in me with all the trailering around we did when I was young. There are
so many great places to see in this country. I would love to go across country again. I want Tim and Olivia to see some of the places I saw when we went in '77. For now, since I hate to fly, and owning your own business is not condusive to taking 2 months off, we go places we can drive to
and do in long weekends or our weeks off. Luckily, there is an endless supply of these places in
the northeast. We'll wrap up the trip with a few days in Vermont with most of Tim's family at
his parents' house. Hopefully, that goes smoothly. His parents have been fighting like crazy being
up there together. I don't think my father-in-law's retirement suits either one of them well. You know the old saying, "for better or worse but NOT for lunch." My sis is giving me the keys to her VT house JUST IN CASE things get too hairy. Always good to have a back-up plan. Off to pack. Hope everyone's enjoying their summer. :o)

I grew - or started - up in NH as well... loved the Concord area and the beaches - all 13 miles of them! Have a safe and wonderful vacation!
