So I had to post ASAP to get something else up other than that very dark, "story of my life" in poem form that I wrote yesterday. Today I am trying to lift myself out of my funk. So it's time to start baking for an open house party we have after our town parade and tree lighting tomorrow night
and queuing up some of my favorite Christmas albums on the CD player. So here's the mix.
James Taylor(A Christmas album) OF COURSE. Gotta have my JT. The Polar Express soundtrack. Great movie!!! Sarah McLachlan, (Wintersong)Not sure if this is too good if you're in a funk though. Some of her stuff makes me cry. Luther Vandross(This is Christmas) Luther, we miss ya man. And lastly, Dolly Parton(Home for Christmas). OK Who's laughing out there now?! I love Dolly. Actually made Tim take me to see her in concert a few years ago. Still sounds great
and Tim didn't complain. The only chance he'll ever get of being near a set like that!
So what are y'all listening to these days?

I love the mix of country and classical at this time of year so bring it on....
and I'm glad you got up and got going...
I tolerate the "new" stuff (which means anything after 1965!), but my go-to albums remain the same every year: Bing Crosby (of course!), Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole. The second tier includes Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis. And our traditional "first waking moments of Christmas morning" album is "The Nutcracker."
- Bob O.
Oh no - no wonder you are feeling blue - put that awful Christmas music away and BOOGIE! I prescribe Earth Wind and Fire!
